  • … and so much more!

Whether in-person or virtually, an appointment begins with a comprehensive intake form. The form will contain questions about parent, baby, and birthing experience. All communication, for in-person or virtual consults, will be sent via secure HIPAA Compliant messaging.

The intake form, as well as health history, will be reviewed and any current breastfeeding issues will be explored. I will assess your baby’s mouth as well as your breast/chest and get an accurate weight for your child. Ideally, parent will breastfeed/chestfeed during our visit. Together, I will work with the family to develop a plan of care that not only works for baby, but parents as well.

Virtual consultations require a computer or tablet.

In-person consultations will be conducted in my office or the comfort of your home.

What can I expect during a consult?

What do I get with a consult?

During our time working together, we’ll discuss the issues you are experiencing. As a team, we'll develop a personalized plan of care, as well as a week (directly following consult) to ask any questions or tweak any portions of the plan that are or are not working. And, if needed, a customized pump plan will be developed.

Back to work/school consultations cover Federal and Virginia Law/provisions, how to prepare milk for care providers, preparing for the first day and week back.

What is your role?

My role is that of a consultant and teacher. Any recommendations will be reached together. My role is never to push parents to a place they are not comfortable.
